The style you have when starting Yachting should be profesional and a bit classy. Think office with the touch of the sea. You are quickly judged by the agencies, captains and colleagues.
Some boats only accept blonde girls and guys.
Other only brunettes, there are also boats that only hire one if you are a model.
I myself ended up on a boat where I was not allowed to use makeup when the owners were on.
Nor did I have to wear tight clothing or uniform, they even complain in my running style because it was too eye-catching. I absolutely did NOT dye my hair blonde or put in loops.
All the time, I was also told that I would be fired if I were more beautiful a woman who owned the boat.
Now I'm on a boat where I can look exactly as I want. even have my private clothes on me when I work when we don't have guests. Everything in yachting is about what boat you are on.
Everyone thinks different and wants different. You simply need to fit into their frames, Or find a boat that fits yours.
Piercings in the face are not ok in yachting.
BUT even here there are exceptions, but its not common.
Belly piercings or others that do not shows underneath the uniform. Have I never heard and complaint about.
But I having lots of earrings and that’s not popular either, I had to take mine out.
However, I sat with a captain once for a interview, who said he thinks it's a shame I took them out because he wants someone who is just who they are on his boat with or without piercings. Which is quite unusual but anything can happen in yachting.
The boat I'm on now has nothing against it either.
But when looking for a job you should take them out.
If you have to have your ears, use very discrete once.
When looking for a job.
(Girls)Put your hair up or have a diadem so your hair falls behind your shoulders. It should not be in the face.

Hide tattoos as best you can. Take out the piercings and use just a little makeup so you look clean and natural.

If you are wearing shorts or skirts it is good if the length is at least halfway to the knees, preferably dark blue or black.
Wear no rings on you and if you have necklaces, take a very discreet on.
